Artist Q&A
-
If there’s one thing I could make for the rest of my life, it would be drinkware. I love making the challenge of making goblets and barware.
-
There’s nothing more special to me than crafting a piece with intention and love, and passing that energy along to our supporters. It means a lot to be able to build something that allows people to take a break from their busy day, inhale deeply, and exhale any troubles. I am always striving to create pieces that inspire curiosity and wonder about the craft.
-
I am inspired by other glassware wherever I go. Whether it’s vintage thrifted glass or a cocktail glass at a bar, I am always looking for ways to bring aesthetic and function together.
-
I love spending time with my cats and my spouse. Skateboarding and seeing live music.
I enjoy exploring the beautiful state of Colorado through outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, camping, snowboarding, snowshoeing.
Some of my favorite parts of being on the team are getting to know our supporters and this community, as well as helping Rye name the in-house color mixes.
Otherwise, I help out with finances, supply ordering, customer service, and any other support behind the scenes that Rye may need.
Fun fact: Rye and I bonded over glass! When we met in 2016, I had some imported glass, and Rye couldn’t wait to introduce me to real-deal American made glass. I fell in love with both Rye and his craft as well. My appreciation and respect for glass artists in this industry is immense!
Aside from my role here, I am also employed full-time, working as a Behavioral Health Technician at a local inpatient rehab. I am currently pursuing my masters of counseling with the long-term goal of working my ways towards licensure and my own practice.
Hi, I’m Mandolin a.k.a. Mando (they/them). I’m Rye’s spouse and right hand in running Mountain High Percs.
